The College of Bowen Studies is Dedicated to Providing World Class Bowen Training, and making Bowen the Therapy of Choice for People in Pain
The College of Bowen Studies provides outstanding practitioner training in the UK. Our accessible courses allow students to explore this gentle and non-invasive, hands on technique in a fun, informative educational environment.
Over the years the practitioners we have trained, now enjoy using the Bowen Technique either as a part time or full time career or as a way of helping their friends and family. Are you looking for a change of direction to help people become more comfortable in their bodies, relieve their pain and increase their mobility? Then Bowen could be for you.
Our fresh approach to the anatomy of the human body has been the reason for the popularity of the Bowen Technique. We have also made the training process very accessible financially, fitting neatly into busy lives supported by excellent tutors and backed up by continuing study into the way that Bowen works.
In short, if you are interested in learning Bowen, you are in the right place!
Our classes are very hands-on and give plenty of opportunity for practise and application. Students are actively encouraged to ask questions. CBS teachers are already experienced Bowen practitioners before becoming tutors, and all hold additional teaching qualifications.
Everything you need to know about becoming a Bowen practitioner will be given to you over the course of our clearly laid out and easy to follow course syllabus. Additionally we have created a wealth of brand new student resources for 2024 & 2025
Support exists at every stage and across our teaching programme. You will have contact details for all the teachers, so that you are able to reach out for support whenever you need it.

The hands on therapy known as The Bowen Technique evolved in Australia and is named after it's innovator, Tom Bowen. It has been in the UK since 1993 and now, thirty years later, Bowen is more popular than ever.
Since then thousands of people have discovered the power of Bowen and have had their lives transformed by both Bowen sessions and Bowen training. Our understanding of how the body responds to a lighter touch and why breaks are so important has grown and the nature of the connective tissue known as fascia has become much more widely understood.
The College of Bowen Studies Ltd (CBS) was incorporated in 2019 and is now at the forefront of new practitioner training in the UK. Our underlying belief that Bowen is a powerful and transformational tool, easy to learn and simple to apply, is at the core of our teaching principles.
The Module Tutors at CBS, have almost 80 years of Bowen experience between them, and bring their wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for Bowen into their teaching.
The College of Bowen Studies Ltd (CBS) is committed to delivering the highest possible standard of practitioner training, as well as promoting, researching and updating the theory around this incredible therapy.
In recent months, CBS have actively begun creating a wider public awareness of Bowen by (amongst a whole host of things) creating daily shareable social media posts, designed to both engage and educate the public and practitioners alike. We will push for more research, a better understanding of what happens during a Bowen session and continue to strive to improve standards of Bowen training.
